How To SpankThe Techniques of the Various Spanking Instruments This page is designed to give you some idea of what you should be doing when spanking using the various instruments. I will use thumbnails to illustrate my points and you can enlarge the pictures to study them. Please use the BACK button to return to this page. Before dealing with this it is worth reminding spankers that throughout all of the spanking the hand should also be used to caress the bottom. It is very easy for the constant beating to make the bottom dead and insensitive to what is happening. The best way to ensure that this does not happen is to constantly rub the buttocks with a circular motion which stimulates the bottom and re-excites it. ![]() The Bottom
What a wonderful area this is. Here is a picture of what I consider the perfect bottom for spanking. Firm well rounded cheeks with plenty of substance to absorb all the instruments. When the legs are spread then the vagina will come into play for the flick of the whip. Able to absorb punishment in almost infinite proportions and yet within days, if dealt with properly, it will be unmarked and ready for future treatment. Where is this magic area? It is that part in the rear of the person between the upper thighs and below the small of the back. It is the the buttocks.
I took a photograph of the professional lady (her letter is on page one of these notes) after her session. (Again you can click to see an enlargement using the back button to return) which I show at the side. Please enlarge and study it as it as you will see that the total area dealt with was within the sweet area. The bottom was left well reddened and the marks of the cane can be seen across the centre of the buttocks - there is a slight gap between each one but none are too high or low. The lady went home sore but with no permanent damage! You will also notice that it is the TOP of the buttocks which receive the treatment. The sides are not meant to be struck but are vulnerable to the careless caner or tawse user - see their respective sections for further information. The Hand
Since time immemorial this has been the weapon of first use by parents on children and by spankers on the bottom of their loved ones. The hand can be a potent weapon and any spanking session should begin with a long session of it on the bottom of the spankee. Ideally it should start with a number of spanks over the clothes but soon the dress must be lifted and the knickered bottom attended to. The hand should not be cupped but held flat and used more like a whip across the buttocks.Fingers should be kept together . It is much easier to deal with one buttock at a time making sure that they are treated equally. It is a mistake to try to hit both at the same time. This produces no power and can easily hurt the spanker if the wrist twists. As an alternative an upward strike bringing the hand from the beyond the thighs to hit the buttocks with a glancing blow - rather like a table tennis bat making a strike to spin the ball beneath it is also very effective. It is also worth saying that with any of the instruments it is a fallacy to believe that starting with the arm high and bringing to down is more painful than the good firm well applied slap using the whip motion. Accuracy is also sacrificed to apparent power. The Paddle As I said in an earlier page there are so many paddles available that a complete master's thesis could be written on them. However I use two and I will base my recommendations for use on these. My two are a long thin one made of birch and a second which is oval in shape, leather covered with a fairly long handle and a blade which is six inches across at its widest. I will discuss the long flat paddle first as I only use it occasionally. This will cover both cheeks when you are striking and offers a flat 'slap' when used. It makes a lot of noise and some people have them pierced with holes at regular intervals to lessen wind resistance. I do not like this type as the holes make red marks - more like measles over the bottom.
My preferred paddle is the oval one. This is held in the hand with the first finger pointing down the handle towards the blade. This is a very effective way allowing for maximum control and also prevents a 'beating' action which is incompatible with its use. Here is an example of the classic way NOT to use a paddle. Just think of the wind resistance as she sweeps it down from a great height; also the lack of accuracy.
I start with the client across my knees with her knickers down and treat each buttock equally. The first half a dozen strokes on each side are usually fairly gentle to get the client and her bottom used to the noise of the paddle and the fact that it stings sharper than the hand. I still continue my caressing of the bottom to keep the nerves active. Now I increase the force and frequency of the slaps watching the colour of the behind as its turns from a light pink to a fiery red. By now the client is usually lying quietly and accepting the extra force in the strokes and it is, as always, a matter of judgement how long one continues. Do NOT continue until the client shows excessive discomfort but once she becomes restless stop and both of you have a rest. Remember we are trying to build up the acceptance level and peaking at this point means failure. The paddle is not a final end but only an interim implement. Strap & Tawse As I explained in the earlier page the strap is a fairly lightweight implement. It is the first when the client is bent across a chair. This position takes a little organisation as it is important that the bottom is well presented for the strap. Do not make the chair too low or the lower thighs come into play and the target area is rather flat making it difficult to strike accurately. If necessary place a cushion under the stomach to raise the client on to their toes, thus making them higher. It can also be difficult if the spanker is much taller than the spankee as again the bottom is badly placed.
In this case it is better if the spankee is laying down flat on a table with a bolster or cushion under her thighs to push the target area into an arc which makes it more accessible to the spanker. This is an excellent position as it is almost impossible to miss the correct area. It is not very often used however as traditionally the person being spanked has been bent either over a chair or to touch their toes. Using the strap and tawse is a new technique for the client and spanker. For the client it is the first time that she feels punishment across BOTH buttocks at the same time and the strap sinks into the flesh of the buttocks. For the spanker it presents a new problem, he must be careful that he does not wrap the strap around his client.
This is an ever present worry as it can cause damage to the sides of the buttocks, often grazing the skin. Remember that he is now using an implement which is flexible thus he stands farther away from the client and rests the strap across the buttocks. The end of the strap should be halfway across the further buttock. This is because when striking there is a natural lean in the spanker and the speed of the end which will carry the strap across to the far side of the further buttock. Now as the tawse, as opposed to the strap, is used a certain amount of bruising will be seen. The picture shown is an excellent example of where the tawse should strike and the fact that only the arm of the striker can be seen means that he (she) is standing the correct distance from the client. A final point is that IF you do draw blood with any instrument stop the action immediately apply antiseptic and dress the wound and you MUST disinfect you instrument before using it again and make sure it has suffered no damage. The Cane To most expert spankers this is the ultimate instrument. I have several canes to choose from. They vary in length from thirty to thirty six inches. They also vary in style with several of the old crook handle and several of the new straight handled canes. They also vary in thickness from the thin nursery cane to the substantial 'headmaster's cane. They are made from a variety of materials with rattan predominating. The weight of the cane is the most important thing with the thicker canes giving a better 'strike' and 'spread' and will not damage the skin. They are also less likely to wrap around the buttocks and damage the sides (see comments about the tawse above). Unless you are punishing for real then I recommend a maximum of twenty strokes. These will vary in strength, lighter first followed by heaver and ending with the heaviest. As with the orchestra our conductor starts pianissimo and finishes with a crescendo. Again we come to the best method of posture. The client should be in the same position as for the tawse and I prefer this time to tie them down. If they are bending across a chair then their legs are tied to the front legs and their hands to the back legs making sure that the buttocks are fully stretched.
Notice in this picture that the caner is laying the cane across the buttocks to exactly the right point to make sure that the aim is perfect. As with the tawse the striker stands far enough away that when laid across the bottom the tip of the cane reaches the middle of the far buttock. Stand well away from the client as the tip will travel faster than the rest of the cane and we want it to strike the far buttock at the same moment as the rest of the cane strikes the near buttock.
No, just as in Muslim countries the caner must cane with a copy of the Koran under his caning arm so the Victorian was advised to "tuck a large book, say the Bible, under your punishing arm and retain it throughout the caning". This forces you to use the wrist and forearm for the stroke. To deliver the stroke you must hit flat not down. This makes a perfect impact on the centre of the buttock whereas the downward stroke can easily hit the end of the spine or possibly a glancing blow. You are wanting to deal with the main fatty sensitive portion which will feel the maximum effect from the stroke. A well struck blow will sink into both buttocks at their broadest with little resistance. The client for a moment will feel nothing and then it will be a numb sensation before the pain strikes.
As the pain takes hold for most people, except the S/M, this will be the ultimate sensation and the subsequent strokes will build on this emotion until the final strokes well laid bring ultimate fulfillment. To the spanker the bottom will show first a white line followed by a red line and ultimately, if the stroke has been well struck, a bruise. (Many clients take pride in these bruises and if laid on correctly they will disappear with a few days.) The expert practitioner will get all of his strokes within a six inch vertical area and it is the sign of incompetence to raise weals on the thighs. See the two pictures I use as examples and judge for yourself which spanker was the expert!!!!t!t!! |
